On the nose: Salt milkchocolate and burning seaweed and hay. Classic Laphroaigy medicinal notes and some cashewnuts. With water I’m getting burnt paper and lemon pepper. It gets greener and juicier in a way.
On the palate: Dusty wood, sweet smoke and cider. Some bitter lemonpeel and with the addition of water more mineral notes and resin appears. The finish is filled with lovely smoke and grapefruits. Good balance between the sweet and the bitter.
A dusty yet juicy Laphroaig. Fantastic stuff!
