Origen Reserva Don Pancho 30 years 40%

This time a Panamanian.origenes30

Bottled: +/- 2013

Bottle no .: 201

On the nose: brown sugar, oak, dark syrup, toffee and bananas. Some chocolate and canned tropical fruit. Very rich. Hints of sweet licorice with time. Cookie dough comes through with added water. Even a hint of soy sauce can be found in the background.

In the mouth: sweet and soft with wood juice, syrup, oak and candied almonds. Some dry cocoa and marzipan too. Balanced. Some camphor candies with water. The finish has burnt sugar and wood varnish. Slightly nutty. And quite long.

Delicious and quite complex things. Also works well at 40 ABV. Very entertaining.

90/100 points
