Whisky Review #313 Macallan ‘Select Oak’ 40%

Bottled in 2009.

On the nose: malt, honey and a little hay. Light and sweet. Some black currants too. Fruity with water. Lime and pears

On the palate: Thin and sweet with hints of gooseberry and citrus. Water brings up some malt and spices. Dusty wood and some green notes in the finish. Water also brings out more spiciness here.

Rather crunchy and fresh, but that doesn’t stop it from being in the & # 39; super boring & # 39; to end up.

79/100 points

(Thanks to Håvard for the example!)
